The canvas
The tower is tall and narrow, which established the proportions of the composition. Movement needed to remain clear when projected across the building while working with its sharp inner structure and silhouette.

From render to projection
Illuminated Visions 2.0 is a public projection-mapping festival held at Cypress College. The final work was presented on the college tower, transforming the digital composition into a shared experience for visitors.

Composing with music
A track from Epidemic Sound was divided into approximately thirteen sections. The timing and intensity of each animation respond to the music, with some sequences extending across two sections to appear, develop and transition away.

Motion and colour
Movement follows the architecture by falling, flowing and growing along the tower. Blue and orange create two contrasting energies while connecting the individual scenes as one composition.
Sound effects were added after compositing to reinforce key movements and transitions.
