Beginning with the bell
The search focused on music with greater impact. A ringing bell opens the work before the track begins, setting up the architectural motif and the first shift from silence into movement.
A motion-led projection shaped by the bell, the rising force of music and visual references from Faro.
Selected through the Faro International Video Mapping Open Call, the work moved from a digital composition to a public projection across the cathedral. Its scale turned the bell, local motifs and accelerating motion into a shared experience for visitors at Algarve Design Meeting.

Portuguese tiles, oranges and bougainvillea anchor the abstract motion in Faro. They are not used as literal illustrations, but translated into pattern, colour, texture and growth across the tower.

The track was divided into thirteen stages. The first four hold a measured level, the next four rise in intensity, and the final five carry the strongest impact. This three-part progression became the structure for the animation.

The opening scenes give space to tiles and controlled motion design. From scene five, forms begin to grow and move faster. From scene nine, heavier elements fall through the tower as the animation accelerates with the music.
